Gaurav 0 Posted January 28, 2008 hi Anonymous1984, Looks like you have gotten significant results. Wanted to know if you had any Hyperpigementation/Hypopigementation problems following your surgery. I am of Indian descent and although I've thought about getting some sort of laser surgery for my scars, same problem areas as yours, the thought of possibly getting hyperpigementation or hypopigementation just scares me. Also, on average how long did it take for the redness to fade? Im a working professional, so wanted to know how many days I would have to take off from work to schedule some sort of surgical procedure. Best of luck with you cure for acne scarring. Always glad to see people making strides in fixing their own flaws. Quote Link to comment

I'm Hispanic, and experienced no noticeable hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation (neither did my mother who also had the procedure done). According to my derm., one thing that really influences that is sun or wind exposure, so being outside in the sunshine or severe weather without being covered is a big no-no for about 6 months. As for the redness, it's still been less than 2 months and it's still pink on the sides. The dermatologist said that could last up to around 6 months, so we'll see. I was able to wear make-up and go out and about after about 7-10 days. So, scheduling late in the week is good so you can have the extra weekend time to heal. Good luck with whatever course you end up taking! Quote Link to comment

Mirror Mirror 0 Posted July 15, 2008 Hi there. Happy for your results and was wondering 1. How much percentage improved you think the scars are? 2. Where you had your procedure done? 3. How much you paid? 4. Did you use any other lotions than the ones they gave you? 5. Did you have your treatment done during winter or summer? If you could answer these questions that would be really ace. I'm considering having the C02 laser done myself but obviously am a little scared. I guess as your mum had it done you felt more confident about the whole thing yeah. I had six agressive fraxel treatments with about 10% softening improvement and spent alot so i feel this may be my last attempt at something. Quote Link to comment
nicole0671 0 Posted November 21, 2008 I'm not sure if you look at your profile anymore but I was wondering if you could give us the name of your doctor because your results are wonderful! Quote Link to comment
