I want to go to a derm so badly, but I have no health insurance. I am considering using my savings to go.

If you can't go to the derm, you can try going to paula's choice.com & check out your options for treating your skin. The info on this website helped me to get clear. Here's the link

Oh & check out this link. It's a pinned post started by SnowQueen, a member here on acne.org. She gives really good guidelines to follow when choosing products for acne-prone skin. This info helped me out A LOT too!

i read your postings. you mentioned you didn't have insurance. i know how you feel. i don't have insurance either.

you may want to look into talking with a local hospital about financial assistance. that's what i'm doing. they help pay for medical visits and sometimes will help pay for any work done. i don't know if hospitals near you do that, but you may want to try. just a thought.

throughout my experiences with acne which have been severe to moderate i've learned that over the counter products do not work at all. i've been to a dermotologist and plastic surgeon and now i have to go on antibiotics...my dr's appt is today.

just remember to never give up and as hard as it is to smile always know there's others out there going through it too.

if you ever want to talk please look me up on this site. my display name is smc0617.
