I'm giving my face a break for today and I'll go back to using retin a tomorrow night. My face has been burning so it's time for a little break to rest my face and let it normalize. My face is a lot smoother in this picture. The retin a has really taken care of the acne that used to camp out on my face for months. I still have some acne "scars"/marks that are kind of brownish. I'm just going to leave them alone and let retin a slough it off. The marks are lighter less noticeable with each passing day. I do have some fairly new reddish marks on my chin area where I had two or three breakouts. They're mostly healed and hopefully they won't mark or stay for long on my skin. I think spironolactone and retin a is a real winning combination and I hope to continue on it when I see my dermatologist in October. I'm very happy with the results and I think they'll only get better with time. I guess time and the pictures will tell. If any female is reading this and has adult acne they should try taking 50 mg of spironolactone 2 weeks before using retin a so that when you go on retin a you won't deal with the purging as much. I remember going on retin a before using spironolactone and I had acne all along my cheek. Those acne marks on the left and right side of my face are all from when I used retin a before using the spiro and retin a combo!!!
