Ouch! That looks really painful.

I'm sorry.

Have you gone to a doctor or derm? they could inject that to make it go down.

Oh, I just read your post. You should def. look into lasers. It's possible that it might help your situation.

Go to other Derms, don't take no for an answer. Don't give up!

Oh, poor thing. Yes, I would definitely look into seeing a derm to have that injected so it will go away faster. Have you thought about accutane?

I'm a registered nurse. You must, if you haven't already, go to the doctor and have that cyst excised. A cyst like that is most certainly filled with pus and if left untreated can cause a systemic infection. It is no wonder that you are not feeling well. You will have it removed/drained; possibly a couple stiches put in and will be placed on antibiotics. It sounds like you've been through this before. My back looks much like yours and I get large cysts too, but not quite as large as the one you have right now. My scarring looks exactly like yours. I am starting accutane in a month. I am 48 years old!!!! Do you mind me asking you how old you are?? I have never known anyone my entire life who suffers with back acne the way I have for so so long. Let's "talk" sometime.

Keep us (me) posted, if you will!!!!

I don't know if this will help at all but... I had to learn the hard way that eating certain types of meat give me cystic acne. I wish I hadn't listened to my dermatologist who told me, when i was a teenager, that acne and diet have nothing to do with each other. If anyone ever tries to tell you this, DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM.

To this day if I eat at Jack in the Box I will get acne from their meat. And just about any other fast food type of meat. I'm talking - within just a few hours, i am so sensitive to it. A whole burger would give me a huge cyst. I really think it's because of the hormones they put in meat in order to try to make the animals get bigger, faster. Those hormones stay in the meat and wreak havoc on our systems. It seems unfair that there are other people who don't seem to develop cystic acne from fast food but... I've just learned to accept the fact that my system is different. And I kind of feel grateful that I figured this out because I think... if the hormones are doing that to my skin, what is it doing to the people whose bodies are NOT trying to eliminate these toxins through their skin? Scary thought!

It doesn't seem to happen with meat that's from a more organic source. I have no idea if this info could help you but... I wanted to share it just in case.

Good luck!

Libby
