I haven't posted on here and a while. It's been about a year and a half since I finished Accutane. Let me just say that even though my acne wasn't that bad, it was bad enough! I remember getting my first zit in third grade! Embarrassing! My acne got out of control starting in sixth grade and up until tenth grade I had had enough. I had tried every over-the-counter cream, wash, and pill, and also various prescriptions from dermatologists. I was tired of waking up and finding all sorts of new zits all over my face, and sometimes I even got horrible and painful cysts. I remember one specific time I had a cyst that was about the size of a dime and took FOREVER to go away. So, finally, I went again to see my dermatologist. He said he would not prescribe any patient Accutane (because of the side effects and long term effects and blah blah blah ), and even if he could he wouldn't recommend it to me, because he said my acne wasn't that severe. So, I left and I called around to find a dermatologist who would prescribe me Accutane. Accutane wasn't the greatest six months, considering the chapped lips and MANY outbreaks, but after all of that MY ACNE CLEARED UP, THANK GOD!!! I still use a topical cream, because I do get a zit or two around that time of the month, which is hell of a lot better than what I had before! I use Clindamycin Phosphate lotion, which is actually a great lotion to use on specific zits that take forever to dry up on their own. My skin is a still a little bit oily, but I don't mind. Accutane really gave me a second chance at life. Good luck everyone!
The picture I included is a pretty recent one.
