Day 41

My dose has been increased. I'm taking 40mg/80mg on alternating days. It's been a week so far on this new dosage. So far so good I guess. My eyes have been extra irritated this week. I feel like they are perpetually blood shot. I've also been feeling extra tired. Also I've had increased dryness and hyperpigmented patchy spots on the back of my hands. 0. 1% hydrocortisone ointment has helped a lot with that. Although I'm not digging the hyperpigmentation on my face, all in all it looks like progress is being made. Another thing is that I stopped taking the birth control pills. I'm not sexually active. Furthermore, since I'm stressing out my body with enough medications as it is I figured I'd just stop. That's all for now.

Wow, your skin has come a long way, already.....I'm very happy for you. BTW, I never knew docs would prescribe the pill for guys......that's very surprising.

Turbojet - believe it or not... I'm a chick... :(:ohno: I have short hair, strong features (e.g. sharp jawline etc) and hyperpigmentation that give me a masculine look especially in these partial face shots. So no, I don't think any doc prescribes bcps for guys on accutane and if they did I would truly question their competence.
