Birth Control: Temporary Solution?

OK, so I have been on:

Adapalene (Differin Gel)

Benzoyl-Peroxide

Clindamycin Cream

Clindamycin Liquid

Erythromycin

Minocycline (Minocycline)

Tazorotene (Tazorac Cream)

and

Tetracycline

Nothing really worked for me. I decided to try taking birth control pills (Desogen) and I finally saw a difference within the first 3 months

So this is how I looked during that 3rd month of taking them...yay! My acne really cleared up!

But know, my cystic acne is starting to emerge again and I am very worried...

    You have really pretty eyes.

Yeah cysts are a real pain. Accutane has cleared all of mine but one. I hope they never return.

    Good luck though.

that same thing happened to me. i was on birth control and it worked great but my cystic acne had come back and i am fixing to start accutane. because, like you, i have been on all of the strongest perscriptions of topicals and minocycline. those worked at first for me too but they all seem to stop working after a month or so of improvement. i don't know if birth control is a temporary fix for everyone but the good results didn't stick around for me. hopefully it is different for you. good luck, you're such a beautiful girl, i hope it clears up soon!
