Day 48

Since I've been on accutane, my skin texture looks and feels better. I don't have any oilyness anymore. My back, chest and upper arms have completely cleared. My chest was never really that bad, but I did have a lot of tiny bumps that are completely gone now. I'm not overly dry either. My lips were really chapped at first, and I do use a lot of chapstick. I haven't had any other side effects.

    Hey Brooke,

Oh my god I never thought there was someone out there that was like me. I am 28 yrs old..was on accutane when I was 18...never really had "bad"acne but enough to depress me. Now I have more than I ever had.....adult acne my derm says.....but its not like a normal pimple its more like a dry patch or rash...it gets to me alot of the time and prevents me from going out and doing things. I am getting married next yr and all I can think about is I hope I can get clear by then, or my skin is going to ruin my big day!! anyways, I think you have beautiful features and I hope accutane will work this time. I cannot bring myself to go on that again...it dried my skin out too much and I believe that is why I am like this now. Take care..and stay positive:)

    Thanks Princess Pimple,

If you're not going to go back on accutane, I recommend trying b5. I can't remember what website I ordered mine from, but I really think it did help improve my skin for the few months I was taking it. It was just really gross having to drink the b5 mixture every day. I also went tanning. I know that it's really bad for you, but I used a browning bed and only went for 5 min 2-3 times a week. I really think it helped make my skin look better. And hire a makeup artist - mine worked wonders! In my wedding photos you can't even tell that I have acne. It was just the oilyness from all the excitement and dancing. Also, if you're not on the pill, that can really help too. It helps keep your horomones in balance. Well, good luck!
