At least 6 months post-accutane...

I haven't updated my gallery in awhile and I figured I would throw in a post-accutane photo. I am wearing some light powder/shimmer on my face here, so my skin looks better than it does w/ out makeup, however it is quite smooth and the marks have faded considerably. And of course - I am clear! I do still have some minor breakouts every here and there, and I am still using some topical stuff, but I can deal with that. I've accepted the fact that my skin will never be totally blemishfree, although I am constantly working towards improvement.

As another point of interest, if you look at my previous photos you'll see that I had some pretty deep red marks, which were vascular in nature (i.e. broken blood vessels under the skin as a result of the trauma caused by the pimples), NOT just pigmentation. I had 4 sessions of Vbeam laser on these last summer I believe, and it helped GREATLY. Of course, my skin still wasn't perfect, but it made a big improvement, however it was costly, about 200-250 CAD per tx.

I also have a few very shallow scars left over, can't see em here obviously, but I'm working on those- I actually had skin needling done 2 weeks ago by a permanent makeup artist in Toronto. I'm still red from the procedure and not sure about the results yet - it's been a waiting game so far. I do have some pre and post tx photos that I hopefully will post as soon as I get around to it.

Any questions on any of the stuff I've just mentioned, feel free to PM me and I'll do my best to reply quickly!
