Hang tough, it will get better soon. You have a 90 % clear rate by the end of treatment. This will get better. Just think, your getting all the stuff out now in one shot. YOu may consider a second round after the rest period. Regardless, my derm says everyone clears while on Accutane.

Remember - -it will improve. Everything is surfacing because Accutane's job is push it all out through the skin. I remember how hard it was for me during those 5 months, but it will be worth it. Trust me

Agreed. Keep us updated with the pics man. I cant wait to see you clear this year!

Btw, I checked out your myspace page, and you're like an inspiration to me man. Even though you have pretty consistent acne, youve managed to get a hot girlfriend, and you are killin with the smooth dance moves..

Hey, if you want something to really help your lips you can try Eucerin's Aquaphor Healing Ointment. You can buy it at Target or pretty much anywhere else. I'm on accutane too and my lips were cracking and it was painful until I used this, and now my lips feel better even when I don't have any on. Your skin looks better, good luck with treatment!

Hello! Goodluck on your therapy! I want to suggest some things that might be of help to you..=)

first, as dan have mentioned, change pillows frequently, in your case, you can do it every two days. Make sure that during laundry it is rinsed well (no detergent residues) and likewise iron it to minimize bacteria.

Second, use a baby wash cloth to towel your face. Baby wash cloths are for sensitive skin, they are less abrasive. wash it after patting dry. remember pat only!=) Use a fresh one every use. **aseptic technique**=)

Third, use lukewarm water every wash, as a nursing student, we are taught that heat causes vasodilation of the blood vessels which helps in healing due to the increase blood circulation.

Fourth, when cleansing, just glide your fingers over you face. dont be harsh to your skin. Follow how swift Dan washes his face. the less your face is exposed to cleansers, the less irritated your skin gets.

Fifth, as much as possible stay perspiration free.. like don't do things that provoke your skin to perspire for the mean time.

Sixth, keep your regimen as simple as possible. use just one product at a time. I can see that your skin, aside from being acne prone, is likewise irritated.. give it a rest, ok? =)

Seventh, 2 liters of water a day.

Eighth, structure your daily routine so that you will achieve your tasks and be less stressed. The less stressed you are, the less acne you'll have..

I really hope my post will help you in some way! Me and my sister were acne sufferers too before but we discovered acneaid bar and panoxyl acnegel 2.5%..

    Good luck on your journey!
