My acne was about 2x (at least) as bad as that. The good news is that both antibiotics and the regimen (one after the other) were strong enough to stop it, so hopefully roaccutane will do the same for you, good luck!

I'll give you a suggestion, but don't get mad!

Take your lip ring out. I speak from experience! I had really bad acne, and I had 3 rings on my face, and I never realized my skin was reacting to the metal!

That's not why I had acne, but it didn't help...I didn't begin to heal until after I took them out. I took one out at first, and as my skin got better, I realized the connection, and took them all out.

My skin is totally clear now (about 7 months on Proactiv), but I still have that sensitivity, even if I wear GOLD earings on an evening out.

A couple of months ago, though, I wanted to get my lip pierced again, and I picked up a titanium ring. I strongly recommend that you change your jewlery to that if you don't really want to take it out. Surgical steel contains nickel which leaks into your skin!! Titanium is nickel free! Nickel should be avoided in everything including necklaces, bracelets, belly button rings etc. No matter how far away from your face it is, it goes into your bloodstream, and straight to your skin...

Accutane is something that would help you. I am three months into accutane and I'd recommend it to anyone (under the care of a docter though because it is strong stuff). So far I'm nothing but glad I've done it. If you haven't already checked into it, you might want to. Good luck finding something that works. I think that is why we all flock to this website. Just looking for a cure.
