Day 53 (oops, I meant Day 54, but whose counting????)

Well, I'm a little more red today, but it has nothing to do with Dan's BP. Last night I used Salicylic Acid 2% on my lower cheeks to loosen up some of the clogged pores. Then, this morning, I did a gently scrub with Baking Soda, followed by an Apple Cider Vinegar toner (which I washed off after 10 minutes). Followed that with my regular regimen with BP. I am hoping that I loosened up those clogged pores so that the BP could penetrate a little deeper. So anyway, I'm a little red but I'm sure that will go away. And my skin feels soooo smooth. Lovin' it!!!

EDIT: IT'S REALLY DAY 54. I LOST COUNT...

Wow! I still can't get over how much of an improvement you've made since your first day. Glad to see that BP is working so well for you and it's only been about 8 weeks. I found for me when BP really finally cleared me I was between 4 and 5 months. So even if you don't see it at the 2 month point like a lot of people say on these boards, hang in there. Your skin obviously likes the BP, so to speak.

By the way, thank you for being such an encouragment to the rest of us here on this site. I read all your posts and see that you bring those extra positive vibes that we all need and in turn will give back.

I hope you have an awesome week. :)

Thanks, Karen. I promise I won't overdo it. I believe in being gentle, for sure. I only put the Sal Acid on non-acne area of my lower cheeks and did NOT put BP on at the same time. The build up of dry skin cells there was getting ridiculous. And the Baking Soda/ diluted Vinegar routine is pretty gentle, too. It's not something I'm gonna do every day, of course. I just wanted to stir things up a tiny bit because of the clogging that I could see.

yeh no problem its normal. its like a little superficial peel you gave yourdelf. i've given myself feels that dead skin turns black (tca) and then peels off and your left with pinkish reddish skin for months. it should return back to normal in lets say 2-3 days just do the baking soda and acv every week. just until you get clear and once your clear you can do it every other day. alon with egg white masks and all that good stuff. gentlness is the key :)

I know I rock, you don't have to tell me, I just stopped by to say that you also rock, so therefore, in simple terms, we rock, but then if we rock, do they rock, or is it simply we, as in us, us rock, which means US rock, America rock, rocking America? Therefore do we rock America? And if so, do other countries then get jealous that we are rocking America but not them as well? If that is the case, then I'm afraid I'll have to leave America and travel to other countries in order to rock them as well. But shortly after leaving America, we'll be in an airport, and I will turn to you, and I will say, I am lost. Have you seen my fly? Is it North? Is it East? Is it South? Is it West? Where is my fly? I guess he left. I loved my fly, and he loved me. We walked along in harmony. Me and my fly. My fly and me. Forever and ever. Until someone had to pee. Then the other had to wait. Patiently. Until the other had no left to pee. Then off we went, so gracefully, me and my fly, my fly and me. We saw the sights we wanted to see. We saw the bay that was by the sea, and ate a bagel, and a key. And wandered the land aimlessly. Me and my fly, my fly and me. That was until my fly left me. Then I walked alone, alone with me. Without my fly, no fly and me. My fly has left to see a different sea, I miss my fly and he misses me. What am I smoking? I swear nothing.

Hi,question. Your progress is amazing! How much of it is really contributed towards the CSR? Are you on any Rx drugs?

Good question! I have also made the following changes:

#1 - about two weeks after Day One, I started taking Minocyclen. You can see that I was making great progress during the first two weeks. Then I turned a corner once I started with the antibiotics.

#2 - I stopped drinking milk for 3 weeks. Then I went back to drinking milk for a week and = two huge zits, one on each cheek. There might be something to the idea of (a) milk messes with my hormones, or (b) perhaps an allergy to dairy. I've now gone back to cutting milk out of my diet entirely. Not even yogurt.

#3 - I started exercising a LOT more right about the same time that I started this regimen. My overall health has improved.

IMO my "amazing" progress is a result of a combo of ways that I started taking better care of myself. Top of the list is that I stopped punishing my skin for being bad. Gentleness is KEY.

you really think exercising helps out clearing our skin to? hmmm i think it helps to instead of just sitting there

but yeah I overexfoliated with like 2.5 glycolic acid wash like every night and first night it was fine then I broke out again i think because I over irritated my skin

but yeah just be gentle with it =)

Yes, I do think exercising helps. It gets your blood circulating, which sends oxygen to your skin, which helps to heal things. Does that make sense?

    yup =)

only thing that scares me is when i think the sweating aggravates it
