Redmark breakthrough

Recommended Posts

listen ok peeps.

so youve been on the reg for what.... 2-3months?

an its working pretty good?

but you look in the mirror an see these redmarks from the old acne an ur like

"stupid stubborn no good *%$&£&% *&$^£%% cheese!"

hehe

anyway

i feel your pain and so i started researching a certain product

(info, i have had some redmarks for almost 4months now)

Bio-Oil

http://www.bio-oil.info/

i WILL NOT suggest doing this until your basically 100% clear, ie 1-2 active pimples on face.

but basically now

i do the regimen morning + night.

but......at night......after moisturiser......

i get a SMALL ammount of bio-oil on the tip of my index finger.

an i place it on the red marks i want to fade..

ive been TESTING it out on my marks since thurs night. and its now monday morning.

an where ive been testing there is no sign of it aggrivating acne AND, the redmark ive had for months, is fading!

so thats my little tip, if you wanna fade them marks then simply get the Bio-Oil into your reg at night an POW, they wil fade super fast.

Update to Places you can buy it:

Hm......Ive heard how good Bio Oil was before. But Ive had some STUBBORN redmarks on my cheeks from old acne spots for 7-8 months now. Do you think Bio Oil can help fade/eventually get rid of them? This is great news, but I wonder if your redmarks are that serious........What do you think Dami? Where can I buy Bio Oil (I live in the US)?

Thanks as always!

i have bio oil. it is very greasy and it can definitely clog pores. i used it on a burn scar that i had before, and it worked pretty well.

You look great Dami!

it's so nice to see people alleviating their acne probs with CSR. :)

When you say "red marks" do you mean surface hyperpigmentation or surface indentions like pothole-looking scars? The potholes are the ones I'm worried about...wondering if Bio-Oil is right for me.

bio oil probably won't work on indented scars.

for me, the bio oil sits on my face and it doesen't seem to absorb completely. or maybe im putting on too much... what i do is i wait about 10 minutes after applying, then i dab toilet paper on the areas which it was applied to soak up any excess bio oil. that way it wont' get my pillow all greasy.

sounds like your applying loads too much

im literally putting a minimal ammount on

i have to actually look at my face in the right light to see the "greasy" shine of the bio oil on that mark

i dont wipe it off either

let it sit there overnight.

i think its better as a spot treatment for the pigmentation of dead spots

rather than applied all over a certain area.

back when i only had a couple of red marks and no active pimple (i can't even remember when that is...so long ago :()

i used bio oil to fade those marks

and it worked quite well...but at the moment, i still have some active pimples and a crap load of red marks, so i am afraid to use it just in case it will clog up my pores although it's good for red marks...

yea it defo works for the dead marks from acne left overs

an im simply spot treating

not applying to whole area of my face

so u shud mayb think of spot treating with it for the dead acne

Thanks so much for the posts

Yeah Bio Oil is good,

I got best results when i actually followed the instructions haha, which is to massage a tiny amount

like a drop into the area for at least a couple of minutes, when i did it right the results were really obvious,

it actually starts working within a couple of hours.

once a week i give myself a facial using a couple of drops and massaging gently for 5-10 minutes cause it

really brightens up my skin.

its important to massage it in really well!

I'm guessing this would be like aloe vera... it only helps to fade, but not get rid of them? Damn.

to fade a redmark is to get rid of them.......

these redmarks are flat with the skin

nothing underneath or nethin.

Nah I didn't buy it :shifty:

I'm using the CP serum & Emu oil route at the moment, which so far is working really well for me.

I also have active acne and more of a problem with brown pigmentation marks, rather than the red marks, so I don't think Bio-oil is for me yet... but maybe one day Dami4n ;) !
