JaE90 2 Share Posted May 15, 2006 Think u have found a good moisturizer?Post it here with details! And, take a look at other moisturizers suggestedso we can comment and find some good ones..I think i might have found two good ones that may be overlooked by most people...Eucerin Q10 Sensitive Skin Lotion w/ Spf 154 Oz. with Spf 15, It says it reduces wrinkles and fine lines just like Alpha Hydrox lotions say, so i'd imagine it gets rid of red marks with its "Coenzyme Q10"... These quotes from Walgreens.. "Firms and moisturizes for softer, smoother skin." , "Is fragrance-free, non-comedogenic and will not irritate dry, sensitive skin."Aveeno Ultra Calming Lotion w/ Spf 154 Oz. with Spf 15, Oil free, Noncomdeogenic, etc. "It's clinically proven to visibly reduce redness and soothe irritation", "This lightly fragranced moisturizer is hypoallergenic and dermatologist-tested, so it's gentle enough for even hypersensitive skin.", "light, fast-absorbing lotion " too much more good stuff just look at the link. scoobysnack 0 Share Posted May 15, 2006 I think I might try the aveeno one. Ive tryed other aveeno products before and they seem to work really well.
JaE90 2 Author Share Posted May 15, 2006 The aveeno one has awards in beauty magazines and stuff like thatLet me know how it goes, I am thinking the same thing.. and if i dont like it im probobly going to go for the eucerin one. They BOTH have good descriptions.p.s. i think that this topic would be good pinned.. there needs to be an "official" topic to suggest them because people are suggesting different ones in numerous topics, this can take away the clutter in the forums.. less confusion

scoobysnack 0 Share Posted May 15, 2006 ok heres one that works pretty good, but is VERY expensive for what you get. Its DDF Daily Protective Moisturizer spf 15, and is $35 for 1.7 oz. I liked it but I cannot afford to keep buying it. If you can afford it though, it works pretty well, although now ive noticed that neutrogena and other cheaper brands work just as well. Still a good product though:http://ddf.com/Pages/MainPage.aspx?Page=Pr...t&ProductId=

JaE90 2 Author Share Posted May 15, 2006 id say dont spend any more than $15 on a moisturizer and only if it is atleast 3 oz. to be fair.. i wouldnt even waste my money on the moisturizers that are like 1.5 oz or like 2.5 oz
brandolynn 287 Share Posted May 15, 2006 I have tried the Eucerin Q10, I used it for a few months, it was okay, but not real good. And it does have oil in it, I think it is macadamia nut oil.

uncomfertablewithapperiance 0 Share Posted May 16, 2006 I have a question, has anyone heard of Kukui Nut Oil- Moisturizer??This is what the site has to say... Kukui Nut oil is (cold) pressed from the kukui nut grown on the big island of Hawaii. This unique oil penetrates, moisturizes and helps renew the skin for a natural healthy look and feel. Kukui Nut Oil offers quick effective relief for dry and chapped skin, oily skin, psoriasis, eczema, rosacea, insect bite itch and acne. Gentle enough for babies, to relieve diaper rash and cradle cap. Excellent for sunburn, chemical and radiation burns. High in essential fatty acids (linoleic and linolenic) the oil bolsters the barrier function of the skin to prevent water loss. Use sparingly. Kukui Nut Oil is Hypoallergenic, GREASELESS and ORGANIC! When used alone, without other creams or oils it soaks deep into the skin allowing the pores to breathe. Some customers enjoy the natural unscented kukui nut oil; others prefer the ‘Scented’ kukui nut oil, which is scented with lavender, rosemary and chamomile essential oils.I like to use kukui nut oil on my face since it works with the body’s natural healing process. I have a combination of oily and dry skin. Kukui nut gives me well balance and moisturized skin. I also like to use it on my feet, which were dry and cracked and now are soft and healthy. Apply it after you wash and towel dry...remember...Less is best!I have a friend that has used it and loves it. I was thinking about ordering some but was curious if any of you have heard or know of anything about this first I am new to the board and am not to sure where to look up weather or not it has something in it that can clog up pores. Thanks for the help.

danmaftei 0 Share Posted May 16, 2006 I just bought (by accident) Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer w/SPF-15, it's just like the Ultra-Calming, just a different line of product (the Ultra-Calming line is for very sensitive skin, this Positively Radiant claims to even out tone & texture). Unless someone tells me that it's a piece of crap, I'm going to try it out and see how it works. Can't go wrong with Aveeno...
mathyogi 0 Share Posted May 16, 2006 I have been a user of the now-discontinued Eucerin Skin Renewal lotion, and am searching for a replacement. I just came across this product:Dermalogica Sheer Moisture SPF 15http://www.dermalogica.com/product_dir/pro...ry=moisturizersLike the Eucerin, this moisturizer is oil free, has SPF 15, and contains lactic acid. Also, the web site says "all Dermalogica products are non-comedogenic and contain no occlusive mineral oil or lanolin, no irritating artificial colors or fragrance, and no drying S.D. alcohol."I have never tried it though. Does anyone have experience with this product?

I tried the Cetaphil one last night and this morning, and I don't know how in the world it was recommended. I can't even begin to describe how awful it was.
bubbletoes 0 Share Posted May 18, 2006 I completely support Complex 15. It's light, not-oily, and moisturizes remarkably well (and I live in a dry area). I believe it is available at CVS stores and online at drugstore.com.
