it sounds like a lot of people say AHA is strong, but i am using kiss my face peaches and creme moisturizer 8%, and it doesn't irritate at all. it feels much better than just regular moisturizer in fact. wtf? is that normal

I got a PM from someone who was confused about whether AHA was a required element of the regimen. It is not. I love Eucerin Skin Renewal, which contains lactic acid--a very mild AHA, but AHA is not at all required. In fact, glycolic acid, which is the usual form of AHA, is usually too much for people when they're first starting out on the regimen.

I have been trying lots of samples of moisturizers from various manufacturers in an attempt to make a replacement moisturizer myself, and have found that AHA is not required for adequate moisturization. However, the various manufacturers who have been scurrying to make us a moisturizer have not hit on something that's as good as Eucerin yet. Some of the samples I've tried are too stinky, some are too thick, and some leave my face too tight. Therefore, to prevent severe flakiness in some people, I recommend the addition of AHA as discussed at http://www.acne.org/aha.html for the time being.

I'm going to try KissMyFace moisturizer as soon as I can get some and see what that's like. Since Eucerin was discontinued from Drugstore.com and I still haven't gotten my manufacturers to make the perfect replacement, we're gonna have to try some new ones 'til we find a good solution. In the meantime, if your skin gets super dry with whatever other moisturizer you're using, the addition of AHA might help, but is in no way required.

Now that is a lot of brass air fittings there is just about every type

of air fitting that you could want. Wholesale prices too. I guess these could be used as small water pipe fitting also. I

used some of the parts to make my babington wvo burner.

I have been doing the regimen for the past year, and saw remarkable results for the first six months or so, but then my skin started to get uncontrollably flaky and then started breaking out in large cyst type acne. I wasn't sure what I was doing differently or wrong, but decided to try to get the flakiness under control first. I saw on one of your messages that you recommended using AHA to help with dry skin. So, I tried it. I used just a generic brand that I found at Walgreens, and applied after the Benzoyl Peroxide, in the morning and before bed. It completely took care of the problem. I no longer have any flakiness, actually my skin feels softer than it ever has. And, thankfully, it completely got rid of the cystic acne I was getting as well. I also have used it as spot treatment when I notice a pimple about to start, and it really keeps it from developing into anything. don't know if this information could be helpful to anyone, but I thought I would put it out there. I I also wanted to thank you for putting out such a wonderful product that is actually affordable, and for putting out all of the helpful information for those who have struggled with acne.

I'm pretty sure it is normal. I think it's because since this moisturizer is natural and has many soothing ingredients it takes the sting out of the AHA. I may be wrong, but that's just what I think.

I use the Kiss My Face Peaches & Creme 4% alpha-hydroxy and it doesn't sting at all. I was looking forward to buying the 8%, but I couldn't find it at whole foods and I'd rather not order it online so I just stuck with the 4% (which I'm guessing is a good thing, because then I would be on 2 high percentages of AHA in 2 products)

It's actually a very nice moisturizer and absorbs very well into my skin. The scent is really nice, and all natural.

I think once I run out of the 4%, I'm gonna go scouting for some 8%..

I have to give it a try

I heard that Using lemon and sugar as an exfoliator can prevent future break outs.

Does AHA do the same thing I know that it fades away The dark spots called hyper pigmentation

Well I finally bought some AHA+ to throw into my regimen. I am really hoping this is going to be finally it. I'm now 22, and my face is really starting to clear up. My face now looks comparable to when I was 16, when the acne problem was just beginning. I have been using BP for 4 years now. I've also been using M2 Skin Recovery Moisturizer since May. At first I was like meh... but now I swear by it. It'll probably be my long-term moisturizer long even after the red marks and acne fade.

My regimen is now...

Morning

- Dan's Gentle Cleanser

- Dan's BP

- M2 Skin Recovery Moisturizer

Night

- Dan's Gentle Cleanser

- Dan's BP

- Dan's AHA+

Eventually I would to remove BP in place of Mandelic Malic to hope with a bit of left over scarring. I'm almost done with a 8oz bottle, and I just received a 16oz bottle - hoping this one is the last! Dan's Gentle Cleanser - I will forever use that though.

Dan's AHA has done wonders for my skin. It got rid of my mild-moderate acne, and I've been clear for 6 months. Only dealing with the aftermath, the red marks that are taking forever to fade.

I don't use anything else beside this one product.

idk what you guys are talking about. AHA is the ONLY reason my face is clear. ive tried bp in the past, it did work a little but never cleared. As of right now i have 0 zits on my face and no red marks. 5 months ago i had 20+ zits and red marks all over. AHA is amazing, but i wanna find a solution from the inside out. I think ill try coconut oil. I have a feeling my acne could be related to candida so i want to find out for sure. Im too much of a pussy to get blood work done and find out for sure

Please excuse me for asking this stupid question. What is AHA used for? Do you get to buy it as a separate product or is it just an added ingredient in moisturisers?

Can you please suggest some over the counter AHA products which I can use. I have a problem with cystic acne and hyperpigmentation.
