I think I'm going to quit......

Before I started the regimen I'd say I was between mild and moderate.... now, I'd say I'm close to severe... I breakout with like 5 or 6 new spots EVERY DAMN DAY!!!!!! and I used to only get one every few days.... which means that just leaves me with A LOT more red marks that take their sorry ass time to fade!!!!

I realize that I have only been on the reg for a like 35 days, but fuck this!!!!!! I know most regs that you do for your skin take time, but I have never been this bad in my life!!!!! not to mention that my husband is coming home in a few weeks!!!!! and I DON'T want him to see me this bad...... ):

I dread looking in the mirror every morning.... ): I'm so depressed... I have to force myself to leave the house... I've been crying myself to sleep for the past few nights b/c of my skin.... I know there are a lot worse things to have than acne, but I can't help but let it bring me down... my face is the first thing that everyone sees......

I am going to stop doing it for a few days and see if I still breakout.... just gonna try and wash my face with a gentle cleanser (Cetaphil), and see if anything changes.....

:wall::wall::cry::cry:

I'm the same. I hate mirrors. My boyfriend just randomly showed up to walk me to work and my face is the worst it has ever been today. I barely said a word to him, I couldn't look at him face-on, and i wouldnt even kiss him. I feel so disgusting. I wish I had never tried BP, it changed my acne from mild to severe in a month.

I hope you see an improvement soon kyandjae. while you stop the regimen for a few days....maybe try some light exfoliation to prevent new spots coming? thats what i am doing on the areas of my face that have no whiteheads or infection

good luck xx

Mine is excatly the same. I started out have a few spots and now I have loads of red marks and new spots every day. I have been on the regime for nearly 2 months and I am thinking of quiting too and taking Erythromyci - zinc complex (topical antibiotics). Anyone changed from BP to topical antibiotics and had success or where it has become worse?

Thanks

old chum.

Old?? I'm only 24..... eh....

After we move outta this fuck hole, I'm going to the doc and getting on some kind of birth control... cause I was 100% clear both times I was pregnant... and if that doesn't work, I guess it's accutane for me.... ):

But, I am officially done with the regimen.............................. we'll see what happens.....

My deepest apologies. It's one of those words I am very used to saying. It simply means good friend or good old buddy. I say that to sound sincere. I also say 'my lady, my friend, dear friend, my good man, my lad, or time machine'.

I have heard about people on birth control and having success. Whatever you do, I hope you all the best =]

Yours sincerely,

I strongly suggest you ditch Cetaphil cleanser, that stuff will keep you breaking out forever.

I'll try it for a while, and if I do 'keep breaking out forever' then I'll find something else.....

Hmm, maybe I should go back to just washing my face with Dove........... that's all I used to do and I only got like a few little spots a week..... eh... I dunno.....

I'm lost in this struggle..... I feel like crying when I see someone with perfect skin.... then I think back to when I was like that.... ): but, shit happens I guess....

I totally ruined my face!!!! why did I even start this!!????

Hey guys,

It seems that the acne is getting the better of you. Think that you had better try something new. I know what it is to have acne, but even worse is having acne as an adult!

I’ve had problems with acne since my early teens. I’m 39 now, and have tried several treatments over the years. In the UK, I had acne treatments on the national health service, but they were’nt effective. It was only when I got private healthcare and saw a specialist that things started to improve. My Doctor recommended that I try Eraye treatments for problem skin conditions which I did. It cleared the acne totally. They are quite expensive, but it has turned out to be worth it. They gave me treatments that covered a two month period, and then added an extra month free. They were honest enough to let me know that the results would’nt be instantaneous, but that the treatments would work well over time. They also gave me advice about my diet, which was contributing to the spread of acne on my face. Since using Eraye my acne is clear. A friend of mine used NV Perriccone skincare and also got good results. Eraye is excellent though. good luck, I hope this helps. Chill out though, you'll find the solution.

Yeah, I hope I do start to clear.... I don't think bp was right for my skin... just should have left it alone.. but who the hell knows....

and I am SO looking forward to Tyler coming home... :D but I still want him to be attracted to me... I fear that when he sees me, and how badly my skin got from the bp, he'll not want me......

Eh, I just need to stop feeling damn sorry for myself....... or some shit like that....

A few things:

First, the regimen very often takes 3 months or more to work for people. I have heard hundreds of times probably that people are "so glad" they stuck it out because they finally got clear after 3 months.

Next, the regimen needs to be followed absolutely precisely for best results. Please read http://www.acne.org/biggestmistakes.html When I personally coach people, we almost ALWAYS get them cleared up, but this often happens once I fix the errors they're making. Most often they're not using enough BP or are being too rough with their skin.

Finally, many people start on the regimen as their skin is just developing severe acne. But no topical treatment is enough for some cases of severe acne. If you have developed severe stuff, a trip to your doc is in order. In my own personal experience, when I had severe acne, especially all over my back, accutane was the only thing that cleared it up. Good luck you guys.

Can I just ask what Eraye is? is it a skincare range and if so what is in it? Thank you!

It was the regimen that is giving me, what I think is severe acne (on my right side)... I'm gentle to my face and I started using a lot of bp to where it was taking a little more than a few minutes for it to absorb... and I have read the biggest mistakes like a bagillion times.... blah blah blah.. and I know that some people take a while to clear.... blah blah blah.... but, I'm done... if I do start to break out more while doing nothing to my skin, then I may consider trying it again....

I was on RAM like a year ago, and it worked well for me.. but I the initial breakout I got from RAM wasn't near as bad as the bp initial breakout.... but, the RAM stopped being effective w/in a few months... thus, more breakouts..... ):

bp doesnt usually cause a breakout

its more while ur skin gets used to these chemicals being absorbbed on a regular basis

bp simply fights acne causing bacteria an thats it.

so if its getting a LOT worse then mayb ur skin is jus goin thru a bad spel

maybe do it just at night for a while to let ur skin rest in the day

i dont kno what 2say about cryin 2sleep n stuf coz ive felt the same so many times, its really hard but u have2 remember acne isnt forever love.

it seems fuckin stupid now to say that coz its not resolution to ur problem but u got a long time 2b clear :)

an ur hubby wil stil love u

i kno id stil love my gf no matter waht her skin was like.

I'm so sorry to hear this had such a bad effect for you :( Perhaps you are actually allergic to BP, in which case it would def. aggriavate your face. Have you considered seeing a dermatologist? Sometimes the only thing that works for people with really bad acne is Accutane.

The way I see it, is that a few weeks of HELL is better than YEARS OF HELL!

If you quit so soon, you will probably spend the next few years trying treatment after treatment and realising nothing works.

For me, the only thing that has worked is BP, my skin did get worse before it got better for sure.

I'm sorry to hear about all of your failure to this regimen. I"m no exception.... except that I'm not to the point of crying at night. I'm still hiding at home refusing to see any of my friends b/c of my horrible skin.

Remember, this regimen doesn't work for everyone, everyone's skin is different. There are many types of acne and it's important to get the right acne medication to target your problem. If you have mild acne (eg. whiteheads and one or two pimples), please don't get yourself on this regimen. I totally regret doing this regimen.

Check out this website. http://www.aafp.org/afp/20000115/357.html.. and diagnose your acne type and create your own regimen accordingly. Of course, it's also very important to get advices from ppl on this website... while I was on the regimen, I had a lot of help from ppl (eg. Brandy & Dami3n - thx!!). And the best thing I got from this website is AHA lotion - woot! It's healing my face (eg. red marks) good!

I had mild acne when I began this regimen and ever since I started my face is 100x worse than it was. My right cheek has > 50x whiteheads popped up ever since I started the regimen - not to mention the initial redness & skin color change at the beginning of the regimen (I looked horrible)!

I have sensitive skin, I"m quite pale so any sign of redness is very apparent on my face.

My skin is now healing from the damage from the regimen.... it's healing good though - I STRONGLY DISAGREE TO PUT BP ALL OVER YOUR FACE. It's stupid. Be gentle to your face.. BP causes A LOT OF IRRITATION I guess that's why I have acne popped up where it hasn't before.

I"m not saying BP doesn't work... BP is terrific in terms of getting rid of active pimple (I had 2 huge zits trying to come up several days ago on my chin and I"ve been spot treating them 2x daily.. I can feel they're almost gone) - just apply BP where you have pimple. What I mean is, DO NOT APPLY BP OVER YOUR ENTIRE CHIN, FOREHEAD, CHEEKS, ETC except if your entire area is covered with active pimple.

The key to treating your face is to be GENTLE & SIMPLE.

Good luck on whatever your regimen is!

I know exactly what you mean about feeling disgusting and not being able to look at your boyfriend face on and not being able to kiss him. When I am broke out I just feel digusting. Just don't let the acne come between you too. My boyfriend loves me too much and he understands what I am feeling. I'm sure yours is the same way :)

i can't say i know how you feal but i understand what you are fealing.but you gotta go back to the basics.bp kills acne.its a fact.buy th ebasis bar of soap.it has barley anyhting in it o it defintioyl wont make you break out.and use a mob of bp.cover your face with the stuff b/c it kills acne.the soap doesn't get rid of it, the mositerizer doesn't get rid of it.the bp is the onlyhting thet does anyhting for acne.its a fact.you just gotta clam down i know this shits gotta suck but its seriously your ony hope.your face is freakin out because of soemthnig else, its not the bp.it has to be your cleanser or mositerizer.i never had acne and anyhtime i've tried any kind of moisterizer i got acne the day i put it on or the very next day no lie.i've spent over 200 bucks with shit i didn't need that made it worse so i know lol PM me if you have any questions or comments I'm sure i can help figure this out for you.plus i enjoy giiving my advice from all my mistakes lol
