I have dark circles under my eyes, I've been like this for the past 9 months? or so..... They are not going away... I get a ton of sleep... I go to the gym.. I eat healthy... but I have had a lot of problems and issues I have had to worry about in my 22 years..... could that be it? I have no idea....

:(

Make sure you drinking plenty of water, eating right, and getting enough sleep! Barring that, an under-eye cream containing Vitamin K may help, but it takes time and regular applications.

I've had these for as long as I can remember (and Acne for 30 odd years). Some references say that they are caused by allergies. They don't say if the allergies are food or nasal ones though. I've also seen that they can be caused by nasal blockage (e.g. polyps) causing increased pressure in the veins around the eyes.

Based on these possibilities I cut all dairy and grains out of my diet around 5 months ago. Dark circles are still there. Dairy and grains are the most likely food allergens from what I've been told. I also had a blood allergy test done last year. It identified a bunch of other foods as well. So I haven't been eating those either for 5 months. Still got the dark circles.

So yesterday I went to an ENT specialist to see if there were any blockages in my nose that may be causing increased pressure. He stuck a long optical probe inside ... nothing. No polyps. Everything was fine.

Beats me. Maybe I need 10 hours sleep each night. I'll give that a try. I'm getting old now so sleeping more should be easy !

P.S. As for the blooshot eyes, have you ever done Accutane ? That's what has caused it for me (another long story). If not, when do you notice the redness ? If it's first thing in the morning, that would tend to suggest it's not dryness because your eyes have been covered all night (while you're asleep). This provides them with plenty of moisture/tear film and no evaporation.

Some people just get dark circles as they age. I've had them for a couple of years now and they haven't gone away. My advice would be to find a good concealer.

As far as your right eye being consistently bloodshot and yellow, maybe you should see a doctor. You could have an infection or a burst a blood vessel in your eye.

Get some kind of cream which specializes in getting rid of dark circles but dont get some bogus product or anything. Look for good reviews.
