Minocycline and sun

Recommended Posts

you'll burn within 15 minutes if you are not careful. i always went in the sun while on Minocyclin, but i'm olive skinned, so I didn't have a problem. If you are light, I'd watch out, because I still burned first time out in the sun.

I've been on Mino for 2 months now and I go in the sun everyday afew hours no shirt. I got a badass tan but nothing bad happned. Even with tazorac in the nights my skin is still ok in the sun.

I was in the sun for two straight weeks (8 hrs. a day) on the beach in Myrtle Beach, SC. I was on (and still am) Minocylcine. I did not burn as easily as I usually do, esp on my face. However, the BP may have helped with that (or maybe not).

I received one of the worst sunburns of my life due to sun sensitivity caused by Minocin. You also run the risk of getting sun damage in the form of brown spots and discoloration.
