When there is a red mark, does that mean the skin is still healing? And should i not do anything to it, like exfoliate, so it heals correctly?

Or is it just a red mark and exfoliating wont cause more damage?

Red marks are basically mild scars left behind which will fade naturally over time. There are some products that will help them fade faster e.g AHA which u could try. Exfoliating wont help.

yea but the thing is, aha and exfoliating doesnt really "heal" the skin. It gets rid of skin. Thats why I'm worried that exfoliating or using aha's could mess with the "healing" process and in turn cause scars. Is this true and could exfoliating red marks, cause them to be scars?

I'm wondering about this because i've been reading alot of posts and it say that they started getting or seeing scars when they start using glycolic acid or other aha's. Could the use of aha's and exfoliators too early cause the scars?
