low glycemic diet = less acne

I'm reading alot that a cause for acne is high blood sugar levels which can be prevented with a low glycemic diet. Does this work? anyone try it yet?

I'm reading Perricone's "Clear Skin Presription" and it talks all about how diet affects not only your acne, but your overall health. I'm not that far into it, but what I understand so far is that acne is an inflamitory disease and a low glycemic diet prevents inflamation. I'm giving it a try for that reason as well as because I'm hypoglycemic. I'm also cutting out dairy due to breakouts. So far so good.
