chemical peel good?

Recommended Posts

i dont know where to start, but i came here cause i had some questions. lets see, i've had acne since my years as a young teenager and as of today *i'm 22yrs old* i have some slight acne. i'm still using a prescription drug that my doc has given to me.

i have quite a few very shallow red marks all over my face and i have what appears to be open pores in a few places. and i was wanting to know if a chemical peel could help me out. i'd like to go for something really light, cause i dont want to make my skin any worse and i dont know how i'd react to it.

anyone think this is a good idea? and will it help me out?

i plan on going to a derm soon, but my schedule is so busy lately.

any help would be greatly appreciated... thank you.

I wouldn't waste my time with light peels, they pretty much are just harsh exfoliaters and dont go deep enough to give noticeable results.

For red marks, i strongly recomend you look into either Vbeam or IPL,

IPL gives little down time unlike medium peels/vbeam which is what you were after...

vbeam imo is the better treatment but has heavy downtime.

Pores cant be changed apparently, though i do believe exfoliating and IPL help make them look less noticeable.
