BP and salicylic acid

Recommended Posts

Are you talking about an SA topical combined with a BP topical? I have used an SA wash combined with a BP topical in the past and I had no serious issues. If you tolerate these medicines well then you shouldn't have a problem. You might experience a bit of dryness but it isn't going to cause your face to burst into flames or anything ;)

a sa wash is pretty much useless in my opinion. there is nothing wrong with use sa and bp together. infact paula from paulas choice recommends doing this and i read on other sites where people also recommended doing this. wash your face with a non-comedogenic cleanser like purpose or cetaphil or alpha hydrox or whatever as long as its not an acne cleanser. dry your face off. apply 2% salicylic acid gel or lotion. let it dry and than apply a bp gel or lotion. youre better off starting with 2.5%.

You may be fine, then again you might totally dry your skin out.

No reason why you can't, other than the fact it might turn you in to a dried prune ;)
