My God.. Owww

Hey, I just did a baking soda exfoliation.

It really started to burn by the end.

Looking closely, I see lots of really small bumps.. They look like inflamed pores, about the size of a blackhead, but completely clear and skin colored. There is a huge clutter by the left side of my mouth and surrounding some remaining red marks & dying down zits. I have exfoliated before with the same process and haven't noticed this before. Since previous successful exfoliations, the only thing I have added is aloe vera to my skin.

So very very painful.

Also, some of my red marks have actually begun to bleed. The blood is coming out of like 7-8 little pores on each of 2 large red marks. So its not gushing out or anything, its just slowly coming out of these inflamed pores or whatever they are...

any ideas?

You left the baking soda on to long. Thats probable what happened man. Get ice seriously fast and put it on face to ease the pain.

You have any vitimin e that you can applie to skin. That will help with your skin to help repair a bit while the body does the rest man sorry to hear that. Next time use oat meal mask that you can make to exfoliate it probable better for you.

Hmmm I washed it off almost right after rubbing it on - the burning started almost right away.

In the past I've left it on for 10-20 minutes without any problems.. strange.

I'll try some ice, Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your experience with BS. The first time I exfoliated with BS it burned so bad! I swore that I would never do it again. I tried it again, today as a matter of fact, and it did burn a little, but it wasn't as bad as before. You are making me reconsider my decision to continue using BS.

Bleh, my face was burned pretty badly.

I have a large patch around the left side of my lips of burnt flesh.

The skin has been doing its peeling thing as with all burns, so I think the healing process is working pretty fast - thanks to the aloe vera perhaps.

Uhmm, some other spots are kinda bloody looking and peely.

I expect a week to heal back to normal.

Its too noticable to go outside. Not that it makes any difference in my life.

Hey! you got to neutralize the baking soda, thats why this happend to you.

Vinegar is the way to go. Apple cider vinegar. I have tried it and it works.

The small bumps on your skin now is blisters, and they will go away.

You can rub on them or let them dry out. Put some cooling lotion on it, the pain will go away soon maybe a day or two.

ops I forgot you have to take the vinegar mixed with water. Perhaps 4/5 water and 1/5 vinegar.

Do not take it pure....
