Yon-ka products

My skin started breaking out at age 28 on my chin and along my jawline. My skin is too sensitive for BP, so the regimen doesnt work for me. I've tried retin a, salcylic acid and antibiotics to name a few. I got so-so results with all these products, but nothing that worked consistantly. I recently tried Yon-ka products and I am really happy with the results. They are effective, but dont wreak havic on your skin like most acne products. I highly recommend Creme 15 partnered with Juvenille. The products are a bit pricey, but well worth it. The active ingredients are essential oils, along with plant and marine extracts. They smell great and feel great on as well. These products are sold online or at salons. For more info, visit http://www.yonka.com/

Are you still using the Yonka products? How do you like them now after more time?

I just started using them and am having a breakout. The esthetician says it's just detoxing. I just want to make sure it doesn't get too out of hand considering prior to this I had the acne under control.

Did you experience a detox period? If so, how long did it last? Is anyone else out there with Yonka experience that can chime in?

Thanks!

Hi ShellyFM,

The Yonka products were working wonders for about a month and a half, but then my skin went back to its old wicked ways. I am now looking into accutane for my mild, but persistant acne. I did not experience an initial breakout or detoxing period as you described when I used Yonka. You may be sensitive to the essential oils in the products. I would recommend giving it a few weeks or so to see if your skin adjusts. Yonka products are high quality and I know a lot of people who have had good results with. Good luck to you!

Well, I think the breakout that I was experiencing is subsiding a bit now. It's been about 2.5 weeks since I started the Yonka products. I'll continue to give it time to see the overall results. I'm hoping that my skin isn't as congested as it was before. Even thought my horrible cystic acne was under control with what I was using before, I still had/have a lot of blackheads.

Have you tried the Murad products? That in combination with a few other things really seemed to help me get in the clear.

Well, thanks for responding!

-Shelly

I used Yonka products, they were recommended by my facialist. I must say I thought they were really effective. My skin was dry in some areas and oily in others. I experienced moderate acne that would "act up" right before my period. My favorite product was the Masque 105. I used it every other day and my skin was so clear.

The downfall of Yonka was that its very expensive, and it didn't help prevent my monthly breakouts. I would recommend it for anyone who can afford it and has mild acne, probably no best used for the severe.
