best moisturiser

Hello can anyone help?

I have recently started this and am using dove sensitive soap, quinoderm 5%,followed by a oil free moisturiser.

My skin is really flacky now and looks awful when i put make up on it shows all the flakes.

Can anyone recomend a decent moisturiser from the uk that works well to get rid of all the flakes, also will the dryness get better or worse.

Thanks x

The good news is that the dryness gets better quite quickly.

Also make sure you're using a good face scrub, to get rid of the dry skin.

I use Quinoderm 5, Loreal mens face scrub, and Clean and Clear moisturiser 2 in 1.

Though the moisturiser isn't the most moisturing in the world, it's perfect for my skin and probably be great for yours too after another few days.

The most moisturising is probably Eucerin moisturisers.

I use the Eucerin dry skin relief with 5% urea in it. It works great and I just ask my doctor to prescribe it for me so I don't pay, cos it's quite pricey stuff for the amount you get!

Im over 18 so i wouldnt get it for free through prescription.

I thought you were not supposed to use scrubs.

You can use scrubs if you know what you are doing. Lightly exfoliating will not aggrivate acne. People who are frustrated with their acne often try to scrub it away which only leaves it very aggrivated and raw.

the eucerin made my dryness and flaking worse. maybe i have too sensitive of skin, but now i am just using the cetaphil moisturizer. it seems a little greasy to me, which i don't like, but it's helping with the dryness. gotta pick our battles i suppose.
