rogerrabbitt23 0 Posted February 16, 2006 I've been noticing that most people that start accutane, on this forum, usually start with 40mg and sometimes 60. I am a 17 year old male, 5'10 and weigh about 185 pounds. A few days ago I had an appointment with my derm and decided to take accutane. The derm says that she is starting me off with 80 mg. This seems like a lot to start with because I don't see others here that start with this amount. This could be because it doesn't seem that anyone here weighs much, so does 80mg sound like a reasonable amount? Am I more likely to experience harsher side effects?
