SeattleGirl 1 Posted February 16, 2006 Ok, I just bought a St Ives moisturizer that contains mineral oil. the reviews on it were great, and I've read that mineral oil does NOT clog pores or cause breakouts. However, I read it doesnt absorb into the skin, and that it sits on top as a barrier keeping moisture in. I also read that by doing this skin can't "breathe." I'm a bit confused, I don't get how if it sits on your skin, it isn't greasy. And if it doesn't let the skin "breath," wouldn't that be bad for your skin? Anyone have experience or know more about mineral oil as an ingredient in moisturizers (it's the second ingredient in this moisturizer, water is first) Thanks
