Accutane and family doctor

Im going to my family doctor sometime this week, and im wondering if she can prescribe me accutane or not? Does it have to be a derm?

Depends on what country you are in.

In the US a family doctor can prescribe, but they have to be registered with the program that allows them to, and most family doctors aren't.

At any rate i think it's much better to see a derm for Accutane anyway, they have lots of experiencing with dosage variations and side effects.

This is really makes me smile. I've been with this doctor since I was 4. Hopefully after I give her my emotional speech she has some sympathy. I've been on Micro Retin-A, zoderm, and minocyclone for 2 years. I had severe, now I prolly have moderate. Anyways she said she had acne worse than me, and her daughter has it as well, so I hope she understands.
