A moisturizer trick, good or bad?

(I am NOT on the regimen, I don't use anti acne products becaue they irritate and dry out my skin making my acne worse, and I don't have much acne anyway) My aim here is to just relieve any dryness or tightness of the skin directly after cleansing without having to wear moisturizer all day because all of them seem to clog my pores, even the really really light oil free ones. My idea was to cleanse, and after I cleanse to gently pat in a little bit of moisturizer and wait a few min for it to soak in, and then wash it off with water. Will this technically work? Since rinsing with water doesn't dry out the skin, putting on some moisturizer to let the skin absorb it and then rinsing the remaining residue off should still keep the skin from being dried out right? I just don't want to wear moisturizer on my face all day, so will this technique work to keep my skin's moisture balance?
