Aluminum in Deodorant Question

Recommended Posts

They would be required by law to list it. Aluminum is used as an antiperspirant, not a deodorant. Some sticks only work to cover the smell, not to prevent sweating.

As a general rule of thumb (ie usually but not always true) if you buy it at somewhere like walmart and it says antiperspirant (not just deo) it has aluminum. The exceptions to this are usually listed as aluminum free antiperspirant, and i've only seen one there ever.

But like think76 said, it's FDA req that it be posted on there if an antiperspirant has aluminum, so it's not too hard to determine.
