My redness what can help [withpics]..

Recommended Posts

i have been on the regimen for 1 month or so. I have been doing it just as it said. What i use is, Basis Sensitive Skin Bar, Neutrogena On-the-Spot, Cetaphil sensitive skin lotion[fragrance free]. I started using it all over my face, which was a bad idea. Now I only use it in problem areas and havent been using it on my sensitive areas. I would like to know what lotion would help redness, seems as if i am very gentel, and dont wash with soap around cheeks.I dont think i like my lotion, and would like a less oily more softer lotion..? could it be my soap is too strong? i almost bought the new purpose redness cream today.

dont mind my goofy wallpaper i just bought my house.

i got similar redness, very little acne. i hear glycolic acids or AHA gets rid of redness. when i'm two months in and i'm still relatively clear, i'm gonna ease into new acid products for the redness

Redness does fade over time, provided you do not have rosacea. The most likely reason you're so red is because of Benzoyl peroxide.

I'd suggest light therapy. Same results, no redness.

Were yo uthis red before startig the regemine? I also started and still use Basis gentle bar soap. I found that it is a harder wash to start out with. I'm use to it now but it did take some time to get to this point. I've read that gentle liquid soaps are must earier on the face. If you don't want to change washes I would lessen the amount of BP and only apply it once a day in the morning vs at night. I resently bought Complex 15 and it's wonderful, very soothing without the oil. Unfortunatly I do not think it's in stores. I bought it online at drugstore.com

They make 2 kinds, one for face and another for the body. The indredients were the same on both so I just purchased the body one because you get more for your money.

Well only for the first few weeks have i been putting bp in that area[cheek]. It was slighty red pre regimen but now has worsen. I think my lotion isnt good. Now i dont even touch the area just wash chin and apply bp slight lotion. What do you suggest lotion wise, its not really dry just red. Thanks for the help

u can isolate the agent causing the redness by completely stopping your regimen for a few days. then go for a day with the soap bar only. see if you get red. if not (and you probably won't), try it with the bp.

chances are your skin is adjusting to it. give it a week or 2. if it's irritating, use less.

spots to avoid for sure: corners of eyes, corners of mouth, temple
