Does accutance effect appetite?

Recommended Posts

I'm taking 40mg of accutane a day. So far I'm almost done with the first week.

But I've noticed since I started it that my appetite is completly gone, and havn't been able to eat hardly anything.

I just wanted to know if this is normal.

How is 1 a day doing for you? Seeing results yet?

Anyways accutane doesn't affect my appetite, AT ALL, I know I need to eat, and when I eat, I'll eat.

It is possible that accutane can affect appetite, but I doubt you only taking it for a week would do it too much especially as it isn't an extremely common side effect It may just be your imagination. See how it goes though.

It does happen and isn't really a problem unless you are prone to anorexia. Make sure you eat regularly even though your appetite isn't so great. Small frequent meals are probably the best.

The opposite can happen too - some people experience stimulation of the appetite.
