Glycolic Acid 30% peel for Redness? How effective? Plz give me advice.

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

While I surf the web, I happened to find Glycolic Acid 30% treatment

as well as Mama lotion for acne scars.

The first scar treatment relies on Glycolic Acid 40%. (Costs $140)

1. pH Balanced Prepping Solution (8 oz.)

2. Glycolic Acid Rapid Exfoliator(30% or 40% strength)(8 oz.)

3. Post Peel Neutralizer(only with 40%)(8 oz.)

4. Nighttime Royal Alpha Balance Cream (4 oz.)

The second scar treatment, Mama lotion, has ingredients

like 20% AHA formulation with 10% mandelic acid and 10% malic acid with a 2.5 ph.

I'd like to know if these products are safe to use...and if they would really work.

I don't think these products would completely eliminate acne scars.

However, I'd likt to give it a shot if they are worth the money.

I am an Asian guy with somewhat dark skin so my doctor

was against laser resurfacing procedure.

I am currently undergoing a series of V Beam Pulsed Dye Laser (7)

for redness but seeing no results whatsoever.

I've decided not to waste any money.

Thanks in advance and I wish you a happy new year.

i bought 30 glycolic acid from here http://www.makeupartistschoice.com/whichpeel.htm for about 34 bucks. I did my first peel friday night and really didnt notice a difference which was expected. Youre supposed to do 6-8 treatments so i dont know what to expect yet. My skin isnt sensitive at all so i left it on for about a minute and it just tingled. Hope it works though.
