What am I doing wrong?

Recommended Posts

Every pimple seems to grow to it's peak, then... died. I dont know what else to put it.. I dont feel anything when I touch the pimple and it just stays there. Either this, or every pimple leaves a red mark that, so far, hasnt fade a bit.

Now, my face is full of redmarks and dead pimples and I dont know how to get rid of them.. short of surgery.

In the morning, I wash my face with Burt's Bee Tomato Soap, followed by spot treating the pimple (active & "dead" ones) with Dan's BP.

In the evening, I wash my face, do a spot treatment, then apply moisturizer to the whole face. I've been doing this for months and yet my skin hasnt improved one bit.

I'm really depressed.... any pointers would be greatly appreciated..

Rather than using a BP based spot treatment and your current regime have you tried mixing things up such as using a SA based facial wash and then apply an SA based gel such as neutrogena clear pore gel (which is useful for redmarks/overall skin tone). Then moisurising.....

Its only a suggestion.......maybe worth a try?

good luck.

Well, you can consider doing Dan's regimen, rather than spot-treating existing pimples. The Regimen is really good at prevention!

you could always try products with glycolic acids or sa to exfoliate and help fade the red marks. maybe a glycolic peel (i believe u can even buy these in stores now) or a glycolic acid toner or alot of people on here love that neurtogena AHA moisturizer to slowly heal red marks......hope this helps! just don't get too carried away with multiple products and ingredients because that could cause more harm than good

Wise words

Ya I actually do aspirin mask, which contains SA. But I'll look into Neutragena moisturizer later.

I'll start doing the regimen on the whole face right away.... I mean prevention is better than cure right ^^

Thanks everyone.

I've noticed glycolic acid which was mentioned above is helpful against getting rid of old acne that hangs around. I use a 10% glycolic acid toner. I would say generally using SA in combination is not a good idea, but that is just me.
