Mederma

Recommended Posts

Has anyone tried this for the redmarks? I think my old derm suggested it to me once but I never tried it and that was years ago...

I'm currently on accutane and not 100% clear yet so I think I will hold off until i know the breakouts are OVER.

Opinions please!

That's very interesting because Dermadoctor.com actually recommends it for red marks. Couldn't imagine that a lowly onion extract will do the trick. That means you can you just rub onion on your red marks and scars if you want to save money and don't mind stinking?

Here are some review i found:

I have used mederma, but not for acne scars. I had 3 moles removed from my body a few years back, and a little while ago I bought mederma to try to fade the scars. I used it and all it really did was turn my tan scars white which made them a lot more noticeable on my tan body. It whitened the area around the scar too (because I globbed on a lot). This is my experiance with mederma.

a couple of years ago i used Mederma for some non acne related scars. I have several of them and they use to bright red. After about 6 months of using Mederma twice to three times a day they turned white and faded dramatically. The only downside to mederma is that is smells absolutely awful...but that's a small price to pay for the results I got. Good luck to you if you choose to give it a try.
