Current use: Although not labeled as such, over-the-counter Super Glue products contain methyl alcohol, because it is inexpensive to produce. Cyanoacrylates cure by a chemical reaction called polymerization, which produces heat. Methyl alcohol has a pronounced heating action when it contacts tissue and may even produce burns if the glue contacts a large enough area of tissue. Rapid curing may also lead to tissue necrosis. Midwives have not noted such reactions because minimal amounts are being used for perineal repair. Nevertheless, with a greater toxic potential, over-the-counter products are inappropriate for use in wound closure. (Quinn & Kissick, 1994)

ffs don't perform surgery yourself...some docs do use "Tissue Glue" leave it up to them.

LOL The topics on these boards get funnier every day.

Superglue + face = bad shit.

Although, superglue was actually invented to fix up wounded soldiers during combat in WW2 if you tried to cut your skin and then re-stick it with superglue you would end up with an even bigger scar than when you started.

I hope nobody is dumb enough to try this......

yeah that's not recommended in any way.

super glue is definitely great for closing up severe wounds when you can't get to a Dr. but that's when you're only concern is stopping the bleeding and not the aftermath of scaring, etc. i'm assuming that's where you got this idea of using superglue?

move on to your next idea and don't give this one another thought

merry day after christmas!

Umm, how is your skin supposed to heal up with the superglue in the way? The superglue would actually keep the skin from healing together and as a soon as the bond from the glue weakens your skin would just split open leaving a nasty nasty scar.
