i started using the following 2 products from Nivea as my wash and moisturizer:

OIL CONTROL FACE WASH

Deep Facial Cleansing

Specially developed for men to overcome rather oily skin. The Oil Control Face Wash has a deep clean action, removing dirt and excess oils, yet leaving the skin feeling refreshed and comfortable.

Algae Extracts & Vitamin Care

Containing natural Algae Extracts and Vitamin the mild foaming non-soapy gel helps to control the oil balance of the skin and to keep it pure.

OIL CONTROL MOISTURIZER

Instant Shine-Free Moisture

Specially developed for men to overcome rather oily skin. The Oil Control Moisturiser gives an instant moisture boost without the shine. The ultra light emulsion is quickly absorbed, to give a cool and refreshed feeling.

Caring Protection

The oil-free formula controls the oil balance of the skin long-term. It both protects and cares, leaving your skin feeling and looking good all day long.

I'm not using them to get rid of acne, I've finished a 4.5month course on Roaccutane. What I want is to have a better skin (mine is so sensitive and flakey) and hopefully limit future breakouts. Anyone uses these products or knows if they're effective? thnx

I've used the oil control face wash and actually liked it a lot. This was when my acne was good on its own and I rarely put any bp or anything on it, except for the daily face wash. It sometimes left my face really dry but overall it did its job of taking off the oil.

The moisturizer I bought, but I never really used it. I bought it and realized it was really oily, and during the time I was having a major breakout so I didn't get a chance to really try it out.

it does nor make your face oily......! this stuff has a very light very manly scent. it does a good job of moisturizing and it does not leave a shine. it is a raher thick lotion so it wil take 10 or so minutes to fully absorb. it does control oil. it smells good but its not to strong. the ladies dig it. its got plant extract and vitamin e in it so you know your getting something a little extra to help your skin along. its a good moisturizer. im using it and cetaphil bar cleanser and my skin is finally clear.

i tried their exfoliating scrub and just like most other scrubs it worked for a few days then it broke me out a bit. im behind the oil control moisturizer but definately not the whole line

i was thinking about getting some of it since everytime i shave my acne flares up.

To tell you the truth, i just don't get acne and shaving.

You shave, it flares up!

You don't shave, it flares up from all the hair!

I think alot has to do with touching your face and such... I'm going to try not touching my face often and only cleansing when i need too. Maybe it will help, who knows.

also... don't touch your face right after shaving, it promotes total breakout.

i've used the Nivea for men sensitive skin shave gel for a while with no real problems with it but it has Mineral Oil in it which made me weary of using it....think it would be fine to use?
