??monocyline maintenance dose??

Recommended Posts

when i was on doxycycline, i started off with 75 mg two times a day... then when i cleared up i maintained it at 75 once a day... im thinking of switching to monocycline now because the effects of doxy are slowly waning... im still pretty clear though...

anywy- when i switch to monocycline, is there a maintenance dose? like 100 one time a day? or are the doses for monocycline different than for doxycycline?

any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks!!

This doesn't answer your question, but I just wanted to know how long you've been on doxycycline? Because I've been on it for about four months and I'm really worried about it not working anymore...

I had taken minocycline for years and it worked well in conjunction with cleocinT topical gel and benzamycin which is also a topical. I live in hillbilly country here in PA and my derm is an A*** and won't give me the two topicals which work great. The problem with minocycline and all the antibotics that you take stop working because your body has become accustomed to it. I usually take a break from it for 2 to 3 weeks then go back on. My derm has me taking 100mg per day then dropped me down to every other day but I didn't follow his advice because he is an idiot and I do what my other derm in NJ told me to do I would take 200 mg a day and it worked better for me. Good luck
