Extreme Dryness

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am expericencing extreme dryness on my face skin. I was using BP gel before then ran out, and ordered and the new batch which came a week later. So i was off the regimen for just over a week. Then i went back on when the new bottles arrived, and have been using it for 7 days now. For the past 2 days my skin has been VERY dry and flakey. I used the mostiuriser after BP as instructed. But i always end up with tight and dry skin. ESP at nights. Within 30 mins the cream is gone and i am dry. I have resorted to usineg vaseline - Petroleum gel. This has kept it mosturised for longer - but is very oily. Is this just my skin building up a resistance? and shud i jus keep using BP and wait for it 2 fix itself? I am acne free atm if that helps. and it is Winter here - very cold.

Please can someone help :)

Regards

Use a liquid cleanser and Eucerin Skin Renewal moisturizer if at all possible. It is by far better than anything else out there. If you can't find that, look for a lactic acid or low percentage glycolic acid moisturizer.

you could try a prue hyaluronic moisturizer (oil-free) from www.naturalskinshop.com and also consider pure sualane - but keep in mind squalane is an oil and you should use minimal amounts.

also consider our lactic acid for daily use as its more moisturizing than glycolic.

use discount code NSSP5 for a 5% saving too. good luck.

what are you washing your face with?

also - if the room you are in is extremely dry (ie you walk in the room and feel the moisture being instantly sucked out of your skin), buy a humidifier and turn the heat down. I had that problem back in college when I dormed...Dry Buffalo winter air + poor air circulation + roommate from Singapore controlling the thermostat = the driest skin and worst acne I've ever had in my life)
