What importance does moisturizer play in clearing acne?

Hahah as my subject states, I wanted to know:

What is the importance in using a moisturizer in the regimen in order to clear acne?? I was just wondering..

Say someone never had dry skin while on the regimen so they didn't use a moisturizer what so ever, could they still get clear?

Thank you,

Melissa..

I've not used a moisuriser bar a couple of times cause I felt my skin didn't need it - I *was* 99% clear but broke out week or so ago :) now I'm about 90% clear again :-

Dryness in the face signals oil glands to produce excess oil to make up for the dryness. Excess oil is a cause of acne. Moisturizer keep the skin moist, not dry, so the oil glands wont over produce oil.

well what about in the summer... when I don't do anything at all, my face gets all sweaty and oily and nasty. I don't really think you need to moisturize when it's 100 degrees outside do you?

F49...

Can you quote your source on the dryness causing oil thing?

People almost always have better success with the regimen when they moisturize regularly. Yes, even in the summer. It's all about balanced, non-irritated skin.

Dan, i think the info ur after off F49ZRthingy... is practically the same as when you go in the sun/on sunbeds your skin becomes more oily a few weeks later with the oil glands bein on a kinda stop/go rountine.

Experience makes me agree that what he/she said is accurate regardless of source anyhow. :)
