r u serious? THE SUN MAKES RED MARKS/ACNE WORSE. You should always apply moiturizer with spf and avoid the sun as much as posible. Too much sun can cause skincancer and other things. If u have a lot of red marks u should use glycolic acid, but if u have very few, u might wanna try neutrogena peel or delnas regimen.

well i was thinking, would a moisturizer help with fading hyperpigmenated (red) spots? I've been not using lotion at all lately and have noticed my skin looks better but not sure if lotion would be a + to help redmarks...any comments (im not into using any chemicals, or anything of the sort - currently product free).

I think the single most important thing you need to do if you want to fade your red marks is wear sunscreen religiously. Do not let the sun get to them, even the winter sun and even on cloudy days. Cloudy days are tricky because you don't "feel" the sun hitting your face when in reality it is. The sun's harmful rays go through the clouds and effect your red marks. So on cloudy days you can be out all day and think nothing happened and look in the mirror and truthfully see no difference in the color of your marks. But the reality is it has effected your marks. The healing process is so slow that you can't see the difference. Trust me and find a sunscreen that won't break you out and wear it religiously. The reason why everybody has these marks for so long is because they don't wear sunscreen. It's a very simple concept. You need to wear sunscreen and you need patience. If you can do this then your marks will be better in time.

take vitamin C WITH ROSEHIPS supplements, and use rosehip oil on them. trust me, THIS WORKS. I've been taking the supplements for a few weeks and my marks are fading more each week. good luck!
