steamming your face to much is bad, so ill def go in there 2 to 3 times max a week. to get to addicted to it, casue you cant open to many pores.

steaming isn't that bad these people don't have any reading comprehension or just listen to what other people tell them... steaming diolates the blood vessels...sure it's possible for a blood vessel to break...but they heal in like 2 days.. i've broken numerous blood vessels in my arms while working out...they heal

When my acne was at its worse, I tried steaming for about 2 weeks through desperation and it did nothing. The whole opening/closing pores is pretty much a myth, there is some explanation behind why its myth but I can't remember it off hand

I have actually done at home steaming (sink full 'o regular hot tap water) twice a day and it's HELPED my acne. Right before my morning and evening wash, I just steam for about 1 minute (that's all I can handle) and then wash. Seems to cut down on the milia/clogged pores quite a bit.

Really, when I stick to it, it's a big help. But I don't add salt, or do anything harsh afterwards. And it's worth noting that I have skin of steel - a brillo pad probably wouldn't irrate my skin.

Id say go in the steam room everytime u play basketball because it will get all the sweat and crap out of ur pores then go have a shower to close the pores back up. Steam for about 10-15 coz steam rooms arent very strong.

Steaming is tricky. You have to know -what- steaming does, and how to utilize it to your own purposes.

A facialist told me that steaming is simply a method to increase the effectiveness of all your other treatments; it's not exactly a treatment in itself. On a side note, steaming is also very calming after an active day, and also stimulating when you feel tired.

Steam and heat opens your pores, but you have to take into account that with open pores, bacteria can spread more easily. Steam, then exfoliate, then cleanse, then tone (so [email protected][email protected]). exfoliation and cleansing will hopefully kill the bacteria deep in pores, rather than letting them roam freely all over your skin.
