Carrageenan gets a "5" on the comedogenicity scale at zerozits.com

Recommended Posts

Should I try to find another toothpaste that doesn't have this ingredient? I worried about the toothpaste escaping and touching the skin around my mouth.

Do it. I used to get zits around my mouth because of the toothpaste I used. And I never get zits there now. Just blackheads.

dont forget it also depends on where on the ing. list that ing is located. Lower on the list means less concentration.

Carrageenan is a gum (comes from seaweed) that's used for thickening up and stabalizing a formula. It's proabaly less than 1% of the formula (usually form 0.15% to 0.50%).

I wouldn't worry about it, unless you slab the stuff all over your face on purpose.
