tazorac 1 Share Posted October 27, 2005 ive always used creams to shave..but i was doing a product search and i saw all gels listed...are gels better for shaving for ppl with acne?
ξ®ٱ© 1 Share Posted October 27, 2005 I nick myself less with a gel than a cream. I think I get a closer shave, and less irritation with a gel as well. Why not give it a try and see what you like more.
cruella22 0 Share Posted October 27, 2005 use hair conditioner instead for shaving, it softens the hair so less nicking and less irritation.
WelshLad 0 Share Posted October 28, 2005 Umm I wouldn't reccomend using a hair conditioner for shaving mainly because they contain lots of different oils that are not helpful for the skin - hence its called HAIR conditioner. Try to find a non-comedogenic shaving GEL, it willl glide across your face much easier and give you less irritation.Lee.
ξ®ٱ© 1 Share Posted October 28, 2005 Last I checked most hair conditioners contain some comedogenic ingrediants as well. I can't see the hair conditioner protecting the skin as well as gel or cream either.
