I have been using the generic version of Proactive called Acne Free for about a week. I've seen a great difference, but my skin is really dry. Someone told me once to expect that and that it will go away quickly. Anyone else have the same results? If it does go away, how long should I expect? Just wondering, thanks!

The first week of using Acnefree I raved about it and the 2nd week too!!

I'm now on my 2nd and half week and I just got 4 cysts on my face which is the worst feeling. I applied AcneFree the other day and now my acne seems to be getting WORSE!! I'm still sticking with it in case it goes well after, but the first 2 weeks my skin kept the breakouts at bay.

Was really drying but now my face is used to it and i don't see any or feel any dryness Since I apply Aloe Vera Gel as a moisturizer.

at first my face was very sensitive to proactiv and the results werent all that great. ive used around 3 products (natures cure, neutrogena, etc) after proactiv and found that they were just the same. after i finished my cleanser and lotion supply, i was left with leftover proactiv that i never finished using. since i wasnt able to go out and buy any cleansers for a while, i just starting using proavtiv again. the results were quite good. ive never had severe acne. just some on my forehead, etc, but when i started using proactiv again, they cleared up. not sure but ive been clearing up the past few years (im 15, 16 in dec), and so far my face has been the clearest in ... around 3 years. also im on medication and ive had a drastic loss of appetite. i skipped some meals unintentionally and lost 9 lbs in a week. i hardly drink soda, eat fast food, ice cream, sweets, etc (although i still adore cookies and have them occasionally). that prob contributed as well.
