Accutane and oily skin?

I have really oily skin where after showering and even putting on an oil free moisturizer my face shines like crazy a couple hours after. I have been given the OK to go on Accutane if I choose.

Just wondering how far in, the oil coming out on your face cut back and changed? Also for those now off accutane is your skin still less oily than when you started?

Thanks!

In my personal experience my face dried up within the first two weeks. But then the oil slowly returned, and now my oiliness is close to pre-accutane levels (especially on my forehead). I am in my 4th month too.

When I first started accutane, my oily skin cleared up so fast. I didn't have dry skin problems on the drug because my skin is normally so oily, the medication made my skin "normal". Sadly, a month or so after I got off of accutane, my skin returned to it's oily state, but not as bad. It is now managable and I don't reflect the sun with my forehead. smile.gif However, accutane works different on everyone. I liked being on it, and I was lucky not to experience any horrble side effects (besides chapped lips).
