100% TCA Cross

Recommended Posts

Ok im very new to the board. I have some pitted scars on my cheeks and temple area along with a few rolling scars. I have read and it seems my best bet is trying a 100% TCA Cross. I have a read alot of threads, but havent seen anyone a year or two with any updates. Is this a permanent thing?

And does anyone know of a doctor that can perform this in the texas/houston area? I have seen that 6 sessions are needed. How much does it generally cost for one session?

TIA

The purpose of TCA CROSS is to cause injury to the wound, that then encourages the growth of collagen (new skin), and this new skin then fills the scar, so yes, this is supposed to be permanent.

The number of sessions you will need depends on the depth of scars, and how spaced out your scars are. If you have some scars very close to one another then the derm/doc might only treat one of the scars in that session, as if it overscabs then 2 close-knit scars could become one single bigger scar, but it just depends on what the derm/doc reckons. You might find you only need 3-4 treatments, depending on how well your scars respond.

Have you searched through google for anyone who offers TCA CROSS in the Houston area? just type in keywords if you haven't already like "TCA CROSS HOUSTON"

Don't think plastic surgeons do it, just dermatologists and docs. TCA cross does not give immediate results, you will probably need at least 3 treatments spaced no less than a month apart, but can give excellent results.

I think i remember someone mention a derm/doc who performs TCA CROSS in the LA area, but this was a while back so i suggest you just look at all the TCA CROSS posts on the board

Hello everyone, TCA CROSS is not complicated, you just need to educate yourself and you can DIY (do it yourself). Don't be afraid--just careful! Do a search here for tons of info. Good Luck! eusa_angel.gif

Thanks everyone. I would be scared doing it myself because i wouldnt want to make my scars any worse sad.gif

I think ill just start calling derms and see how much they charge. Ive seen anywhere from $75-$200? I would do as many treatments possible to make them some what less or even gone biggrin.gif

Yeah thats what most people on this forum from the US seem to be paying for the treatment- anything between $75 and $200. I suggest you keep researching over the net for derms/docs who offer the treatment near you
