My daughter took it at 14-15 years old. (She turned 15 while taking it.) It worked for a while, and her sophomore year of highschool her skin looked pretty good. But slowly the acne came back. Now at 16 the derm just prescribed a second course.

Depends on how screwed your skin is. Definately see a derm about this one. It could be possible to be on Accutane, but because you're 14 and your hormones are going wild at the moment, wait atleast until you're 15 to see if they settle down anytime. If they don't then see a dermatologist. Im 17 and my hormones havent settled yet sad.gif

No offence buddy, but i dont think you should wait till your 15 to see if your hormones go down.

I think irregardless of your age you should go for what ever treatment is best for your body type and acne severity.

I think the best advice is to see your local GP and let him/her give you the run down.

If your not satisified with the results get a second or third opinion.

You may also be refered to a dermatologist. I think its best to treat acne as early as possible, especially at that vulnerbale age and the increased possibilities of scarring.

Think about it and take care
