porad 0 Posted August 9, 2005 Hey, I'm on day 26 here of 40mg (40mg for 5 months). Last week I had noticed that my skin no longer got oily, period. This evening, I got home, washed my face with a gentle cleanser, didn't apply moisturizer, and a few hours later I had quite a bit of oil built up again What gives?! cliffs: oil gone one week, back the next. porad 0 Posted August 9, 2005 Yep, I got really dry, flaky skin after about 6 weeks on accutane (20mg) but then it returned to it's usual oily state. Shortly after my derm raised my dose to 40mg a day for 6 months and after a while, the dryness returned. I have been given the OK by my doc to start taking 1x40mg a day of Accutane. I am still hesitant at the moment and just wondering how its working with others. Thanks.
