yes, personaly it is for me.

the more junk i eat such as fried food and choclate the worse my skin is ie more pimples blemishes etc.

i kinda think its a myth that its a myth, you know?

i think for alot of people diet really affects the skin esp with fatty oily sugary food.

if i eat alot of sugar in one day (lets say 80 g's) ill get a few new pimples. And i can tell they are diet related cause it happens like the next day and they are "different" than the ones i normally get

I never believed so, they done some test in the 60's with no evidence supporting and acne diet correlation.

I was however e-mailed by a specialist earlier this year who told me latest research proved foods with high glycolic index can cause acne to worsen by up to 55 perecent.

I do feel its an indivual thing, like alergies, some people respond different, thankfully i respond well to topicals so i'll never know what impact certain foods have on my skin.

And lastly i think a lot of people are too supersticous about acne, and immediately think theres a diet problem everytime they get a zit.

But we all went through that stage, but i'm for sure some people are truley affected by diet.

Hmm, the reality is what you eat does not cause acne, however, I have read that certain foods could possibily aggravate the acne you already have.

Also, if you eat sugary food, and wake up to find a couple pimples...it's pure coincidence as pimples usually take well more than a day to form. You know they start forming under the skin... so no matter what you were going to get those pimples.. maybe the sugar food speed the process a bit.

Anyway, when I had acne bad I wanted to link my breakouts to my eating, so I went on a diet (health foods only)... now I eat everything again and funny how the food theory is failing since I am not breaking out.

I thought my new regimen was enough so I started eating what I wanted, but then I started to break out again. The weird thing was that first I'd break out in my T zone and mouth area. Then when I started shaving every day I stopped getting pimples there.. then my forehead started reacting bad to the cetaphil cleanser, so I stopped using that and went back to just regular water and scrubbing with a washrag for my forehead (this works for my forehead only). THEN i start getting pimples around my jawline and neckline area. Like if I find out what works on my acne on one part of my face, the acne just finds another place to show up which seemed to tell me that it had to get out and get out somewhere because it was something that was in me that needed to get out of my body.

No support for that claim but I do have support that since I cut out all sugars in my diets and meats (chicken, hamburger, everythings pumped full of hormones and chemicals), I started clearing instantly and I haven't got a new pimple in 5 days. The results were instant and my skin is not greasy hardly anymore either.

Diet is 95% of my acne. I have tried so much to be able to eat whatever I want, but the only times I can ever be clear is when I'm taking minocycline or not eating foods with meat and sugar.

Diet consists of egg whites, protein powder, brown rice, tuna, and applesauce (I was even iffy with the applesauce, but it seems to be fine). When I tried to introduce hamburgers or bread (one at a time even) into my diet my skin started getting more greasy again and pimples occured every few days. If I eat outside of my diet of no sugar foods or meats, I am guaranteed something bad 2 days later.

It really puts a cramp on body building, enjoying food, and gaining muscle... but hey.. sacrifices I guess.

I'd say acne is like cancer. A lot of things cause cancer whether its the sun, or smoking, or whatever.. but like cancer I think acne has several different causes for different people. Since different things cause acne in different people, different things solve acne in different people.

Your skin will look better if you live healthily and eat healthy foods. However, I feel that food does not affect my acne at all. I have tried to eat no chocolate, cookies, crips 'n stuff for a couple of weeks, but it had absolutely no effect at all. So now I'm just eating away and my skin actually looks better than at the time of the 'experiment'.

For me, no, for others, maybe. But I eat very very healthy, just not a "acne-friendly" diet. (lots of milk etc)

Yes without a doubt. I've seen and witnessed too much proof that diet is related to acne. I believe that there are many things that can aggravate acne and make it worst like the sun, but if there's no acne to aggravate, then they're nothing to worry about.

i know that the toxic levels in your body can definitely affect your complexion. toxins in your liver, etc. best to keep cells hydrated with plenty of water and drink lots of green tea, eat lots of fruits and veggies to detoxify your body. you will feel more energized too.

well i know that diet does NOT cause acne. In some people it can stimulate it, but you certainly would already be prone/genetically prone to having acne. I know of no scientific proof that food will GIVE you acne prone skin.
